Survey Says Email Is Stressing Us Out

Written by Dan Blacharski on December 2, 2008

The folks over at TechRadar are reporting that two different surveys are reporting many of us are suffering from email guilt resulting from not reponding promptly to messages, and email, which is supposed to be a convenience, is stressing us out. Here’a an excerpt:

41 per cent of people suffer from guilt when they don’t reply to emails promptly enough, with one in three telling them that they are overwhelmed by the amount of emails that they get.

One of the surveys suggests that people schedule regular “facemail” days to get together with clients and friends they’ve neglected via email. I’m not so sure how that works for those of us with clients all over the world, however. Then again, I can’t say I’m stressed out by my email nor feeling any email guilt. How about you?
